New to OP Commander's eCommerce System! Promo Code Application
The new Promo Code Application will allow you to easily create promo codes for your customer's to use on your OP Commander 3.0 eCommerce platform. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Login to the Dealer Administration area of the website. Select "Promo Codes" from the "Website Control" drop down.
Step 2: Click on "Create New Promo Code". Here you will tell the system:
- The name of the promo code
- The description of the promo code
- The percent or dollar off the order (and any applicable minimum order totals)
- If this promo code is a gift certificate or not (this will change the way taxes are calculated)
At this time, the system will calculate only percent (%), dollar amounts ($) off the order total or Gift Certificates.
After you are done entering the promo code criteria, click "Save Promo Code". This activates the promo code for use on the site instantaneously.
Step 3: You may place a test order on the site, if you so choose, by logging in as a buyer, or as a test account buyer. The promo code is applied at the last step during the checkout process. Simply type the promo code into the "Promotional Code" box and click apply. You will see the totals in the cart automatically adjust as the promo code is applied. Proceed with the order as normal.
Note that the order notification email which the Dealer receives will contain the promo code which was used for this order. It will also show up on the Order Processing screen within Dealer Administration.
